CZ114 | CW721R - High Tensile Brass

 CZ114 | CW721R High Tensile Brass

An alloy of copper and zinc is called brass. They may also contain trace amounts of additional alloying elements to enhance their characteristics. Brass has a strong tensile strength and corrosion resistance. They are ideal for hot forging. When compared to other metals, free machining brass sets the standard for machining.

Brass is classified into two types. The alpha alloys contain less than 37% zinc, while the beta alloys contain 37-45% zinc. Alpha alloys are ductile and cold workable. Duplex or alpha|beta alloys have a restricted cold ductility. It is harder and stronger.

CZ114 | CW721R is a duplex or alpha/beta alloy. Brass alloy CZ114 | CW721R is a versatile high strength, hot workable, machinable engineering alloy sometimes referred to as a Manganese Bronze or High Tensile Brass.

CW721R | CZ114 Brass corresponds to the following brass alloy grade but not be a direct equivalent to UNS C67500. CZ114 is also sometimes called Manganese Bronze. CZ114 | CW721R Brass alloy is supplied as Bar.

 Applications of CZ114 | CW721R

CZ114 | CW721R is typically used in Architectural applications, High strength components, Valves, Valve stems, Fittings, and Marine fittings.

Due to the enhanced properties of CZ114 | CW721R brass, it is commonly used in gas valves and fittings, fasteners, pump trim, gears, locks, heavy-duty electrical connectors, transmission components, marine hardware, safety tools, and decorative metalwork.
